It's a Wrap on 'The First Time I Never Met You' 🎬

… AND THAT’S A WRAP!

After more than a year since the conclusion of our crowdfunding campaign for The First Time I Never Met You, and many delays, I am so excited to let you know that we have wrapped production, and are now moving into the post-production phase of making TFTINMY.

CASTING

As you may remember, Isaura Barbé-Brown had joined the project just before the crowdfunding stage. She's since had to depart from the project for personal reasons. Having first hand experience of how much of a toll one's personal life can have, we completely understood and supported her decision to leave, and wish her all the best.

Since then, actress Renee Bailey has joined the project to portray Esmé. Some of her recent credits include BBC3's Mood, and the Get Even spin-off series Rebel Cheer Squad. We're really excited to show you the amazing performances she's given to the project.

Osy Ikhile has also joined the project to portray Lucas, brother to our protagonist, John. Some of his recent credits include The Legend of Tarzan, and Black Mirror's USS Callister. He is also set to appear in Amazon's New Spy Action Drama Citadel.

POST-PRODUCTION

First stop for post-production: The Edit.

The film will be edited by Ellie Johnson from TenThree. I met Ellie 12 years ago, when she edited my very first short film Fifty Pence. She's since gone on to build an impressive resume as an editor, including commercial campaigns for VW, McDonald's, Land Rover, as well as music videos for P!nk's 'What About Us', Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa's 'One Kiss', and many more...

CHARITY

During the crowdfunding campaign for TFTINMY, we pledged to use a portion of eligible contributions to support a UK Bereavement charity. I am pleased to announced that we raised and donated £286.00 to Grief Encounter- a UK charity who supports bereaved children and young people.

They work closely with individuals, families, schools and professionals to offer a way through the anxiety, fear and isolation so often caused by grief.
