Festival Premieres for THE DARTMOOR COWBOY
I’m happy to share that The Dartmoor Cowboy has officially begun its festival run.
The film held its World Premiere at the New York Shorts International Film Festival on October 14th, 2025 (festival dates: October 10–16). It was a wonderful milestone for the whole team, and it’s been great to see early reactions from audiences discovering the film for the first time.
Shortly after, the film celebrated its UK Premiere at HollyShorts London on November 16th, 2025 (festival dates: November 13–16). It was a joy to reunite with cast and crew for the screening, and to share the film on a London stage.
The story is set in 1950s rural England, I play Canadian John, trusted friend to Ross Salmon (played by Henry Garrett). The film takes inspiration from the real-life Ross Salmon- a cowpuncher whose story helped shape the character work behind the project.
Directed by Wij Travers and produced by Rob Jelley, The Dartmoor Cowboy continues its collaboration between Act 6 and Slick Films, whose filmmaking legacy has been inspiring to work alongside.
More updates to come as the film continues its festival journey.
